Hi Tim,

Did a quick test on PC behind a firewall and proxy server and it works a treat. It would be good to have ‘new folder’ option – I stopped and created one.

Also a ‘Cancel’ button? My first search result set was too big and it would have taken hours to download. Does it work on Mac or PC?

Michael, thanks for trying it out. The way the ‘select directory’ widget is rendered is dependent on the OS. But it should be possible to create a new folder. Try right clicking on an existing folder — you should get a New > Folder option in the menu.

I should probably add something to the help to make this clearer.

Just did a quick test of the app not knowing much about it up till now. I am running this from the Curtin Library staff network. We are behind a firewall but no proxy.

Works well apart from one minor usability concern. The ‘Browse for folder’ dialog doesn’t allow you to create a folder. I had to leave the app, create a folder on the file system and come back to the app. This should be easy to add if this is a Microsoft language based app (.net, etc).

The ADB website has now changed substantially, so it’s probably not such a simple fix any more. I’ll get to it eventually, but let me know if you’re desperate and I’ll push it up the priority list.

Great site Tim (and love the nineteenth century emporium patter).

I’ve daydreamed about doing Trove extensions, and here you are actually building them!

Definitely looking forward to spending time rummaging in this toolbox!
